Happy Birthday!

Or as LS likes to say, "Habby Bobo!" As you can see we're big-as-can-be.

I am learning to swim with Dadd-o. I'm a bubble-blowing, back-floating, kick-board-kicking machine.

I dream about driving trains,

perform life-saving surgery on my stuffed animals,

and hike to tall waterfalls on my strong 4-year-old-legs.

LS (always fashionable)

blazes her own trail

makes us laugh

and is generally a blur of activity.

But now to the main event. It can be difficult to fulfill the vision that is the 4 year old's Birthday. Early on, I requested a bunny party. And though our bunny bee-pa-dee was not present, she sent an emissary of good will (note in later pictures the extra-special decorations added by party guests!!).

We celebrated at a Berry Patch. After decorating baskets, we set off for the fields. Most guests came back from picking with empty baskets, fruit-stained faces and full tummys.

There were some uninvited, but welcome, guests.

We (bravely!) fed chickens and goats and wild hairy rabbits,

sung Happy Birthday (I double checked that there were 4 candles),

and opened presents

while LS, it was discovered later, quietly concocted a chocolate, water, berry surprise.

A beautiful little farm, a beautiful day, and a beautiful Birthday Girl (if we do say so ourselves)!
