Baa-laa-nce and other antics

I'm awfully proud of this new standing trick. I've been practicing every chance I get and even throw in a little shuffle-shuffle from time to time to make M & D happy. The key is to get a good wide stance...




Now that I'm bi-pedal (at least some of the time) I like to remind everyone how tall I am. Usually I do this at dinner as exhibited here. If you are eating at the table with me I'd expect you too to put your hands in the air, then to tell me how tall I am.



I still play hide and seek (as in hide from the green beans that are seeking out my mouth)...



...and of course I'm still cute!

City of Roses

Saturday M and I went to a N. Port. park with one of my friends. There was a great play structure and a big rose garden with a fountain in the middle which I was drawn to. I insisted on crawling along the edge. Several times I tried to join a wedding party taking pictures there. I also enjoyed scaling stairs: up and down, up and down!

Stand In The Place Where You Are

This is one of my new favorite activities. I spent about ten minutes Thursday night doing this over and over again. By Friday night, I was doing it on and off, while holding on to different objects each time:



D said something about me acting like Evel Knievel, if he were 2.5 feet tall and preferred wearing pastel blue dresses to American flag jumpsuits. I have no idea what D was talking about, which is often the case.

Oh, and I love wearing and talking about shoes. Sometimes I like to wear my little red shoes, and M's too, just for good measure.



I am a baby; this is my prerogative.

Photo Booth

Well chalk it up to the change in the weather, a recent round of runny noses, or just plain laziness, but we haven't been taking many pictures recently. I guess M & D couldn't possibly keep up the rate they'd sustained in my first year. In any case, here are some out-takes from photo booth, or as I like to think of it, my personal computer entertainment. Enjoy!

Holiday Weekend

What a treat! Dad was home with us for three days and didn’t even study once! We had lots of fun in some far-flung places and closer in around town. Saturday we went to the Aquarium. Mom and I take in the views.

After all that wildlife, Dad and I were wiped out (eyes on the road Mom!).



Sunday the weather was gorgeous. We went to our churches annual picnic and had a lovely time. Lots of swinging, walks, and good food, but no pictures. As a bonus (for M & D) we found a donut shop on the way. What do you think, did Dad finish this cinnamon roll off in one sitting?



Labor Day we found our way to a local park and had a family picnic. The play equipment was excellent! I especially enjoyed the Merry-Go-Round. Doesn’t M look like she’s having fun? What a good sport! I learned all about centripetal force that day!



And of course there was lots more walking as you’ve seen. I’m so speedy! I love the new perspective I get from my new bipedal perspective.

Baby Steps & One Big Zucchini

I like doing this these days!


Usually I'm good for a few laps around the apartment, before something catches my eye and I need to crawl to get it. For example, here I needed to play with my magnet board and state magnets...incidentally, M cut me off right at the end I signed out with an excellent grin and wave.

Anywho, before I forget, here's that massive zucchini that some of you may have heard about. (I'm wearing a Penn State sweatshirt for those of you that might be interested)
