New Things Afoot

Let's see, I tried and seemed to like asparagus, green beans, and kale(!) this week. The trick, you see, is to saute said veggie, then dust with Parmesan Cheese in the case of the first two, and to bake in the oven until crisp for the last...what's next Brussels Sprouts?!

And then there's this:

Our new home! I truly seemed to enjoy the home buying process. I particularly liked visiting houses that other kids apparently lived in as it meant...TOYS! On several occasions I had to be frisked before leaving a home. I also liked our Realtor very much. This seemed to tickle both M & D and the Realtor. I'm always glad to have an appreciative audience.

In any case, today we got the keys! I liked running running running around the driveway, backyard, garage, and house. I also liked these big windows which I mistook for doors (like the ones in our apartment).

Come visit!!

Feeling Better...again

I've been battling round two of winter colds this week and (cross your fingers) have finally come out on the other side. While last month's cold had little effect on my energy level, this month's bug wiped me out. I spent two whole days sleeping and am just now getting back on my feet. That means I have a few day's fun to make up for so I've been packing in the activities and keeping M & D on their toes. In the past four days I've been to the Children's Museum, the Science Museum, and a Chinese New Year Celebration. My increased pep caught M off guard and she spent more time chasing me than taking photos, but here are a few action shots:

I've also taken a big interest in letters and words lately. In particular I like to spell and say my own name and have Mom spell TONS of words with refrigerator letters while I have snacks. When I notice words I pretend to spell them myself ('er er er er') and wait for M & D to supply the actual letters.

I'm also learning colors and, while my default guess when asked is often blue ('bu'), I'll definitely get it on the second try.

Here I am playing peek-a-boo in the closet. It you listen very closely at the beginning of the clip I call 'A-bby' from inside the closet. M and I play this game a lot. It's very sweet.
