Action!
I'm unstoppable! Catch me if you can!
I scamper down the stairs at the Rose Garden:
I dance and clap to music:
I run around downtown, play with the wildlife, and wave as the trains go by:
I even climb Mt. Hood:
And I love to swing, especially at the beach with some admiring, avian fans:
(By the way, just to the right of this shot, in Seaside, there was some sort of canine competition. They had set up a giant pool on the beach with a platform next to it. Then, people would bring their dogs onto the platform and have them run and jump into the pool to catch a toy. Some of these dogs can jump over 20 feet! It's now my favorite sport.)

Now That I'm Two
One of the less enjoyable rights of passage for two-year-olds is (apparently) a visit to the baby doctor. I was duped, via some vague information from Mom and Dad, into thinking this meant another fun-filled visit to the Midwife where I get to play with toys and help listen to tiny baby's heartbeat. Instead I was the one being examined. I held up pretty well and even smiled and talked with my Doctor a little. She said that between my height and my speech most people would mistake me for a three year old! She also said I had nice teeth. I made sure to snag two stickers for my trouble.
No wonder I'm such a smarty-pants with Mom and Dad studying all the time. These days studying is my idea of a good time (why is it I seem to enjoy it SO much more than they do?!).
Also since turning two I've gotten a little funny about having my picture taken, hence the sullen look here. Not too many smiles for the camera these days, sorry folks.
But notice my pretty perfect-for-the-rainy-season boots. I'm crazy about them and wear them everywhere. Compliment me on them and you're immediately on my good side.
I'm also very happy to wear dresses these days - I think mostly because everyone makes such a fuss about how pretty I look in them. And I like wearing my hair in a ponytail like some of the big girls I know.
Yep, I'm certainly getting to be a big girl. Just in time for my debut as big sister in a few months!
